Built a new computer a couple of days ago, but was having trouble with Debian and the network chip (realtek), was getting really slow speeds and after failing to get it resolved I ended up using Linux Mint 13 MATE in the meantime.
But today I found a Debian image which contained backports packages and extra packages to support newer hardware and after installing it, i was getting the speeds i was meant to be getting with the network.
So really glad I'm back to using Debian and openbox, this is just screenshot to show my desktop on my new computer, and you can see I edited the conky to show the 4 cores of the new CPU, and i coloured-coded archey to match nicely with everything else. Also started to use deadbeef instead of rhythmbox now and again.
The image I used was squeeze-custom-amd64-0315.iso created by Kenshi MUTO, so thanks to him for creating it
